I hope everybody had an awesome Christmas and with New Years coming up I am sure we are all making great new life changes. In this so called chaotic military life of mine, I have decided over Christmas break from school to make a big change in my educational plan; hence the title going back to my first love. I most certainly didn’t mean an ex boyfriend LOL. I am currently in school getting my degree in Interior Design which I do love so much but I really loved my firt major which was Clinical Psychology. So after I graduate in May with my Interior Design degree I will be going back to school for Psychology. Big difference isn’t it?!!
I enjoy so much being able to work with children in need and being able to make a difference in other people’s lifes. I am truly excited about that fact that next December I will be graduating with my bachelors and going on to a graduate Program. I was really scared about my credits transferring to a different college but it all worked out in the end.
One thing I am not doing is totally abandoning my love for design. I plan to pursue both if I can. It’s all in GOD’s hands. So the moral of this post is that even though some of us have the craziest lifes ever, children, full-time jobs, and so on, we must take sometime to ourselves and really figure out what it is we want in life. We are never to old to make big life changes.
Happy New Years to all and to all great 2013 ambitions. Where there is a will there is a way!
I am totally jealous of all the people who are getting snow this time of year and kind of wish I was where ever you guys are. Right now I am currently in North Carolina where there is no snow and it’s still a little cool outside. So who wants to donate their beautiful snow to me?
On the other hand, I have been training super hard at the gym. If you missed my last post about what I’m training for you can check it out here. I also have made a big change in my diet lately. I have cut out refined sugar and processed foods. Yes, this means no cookies, cupcakes, soda, and anything else in that category. I am strictly on a protein and vegetable diet as of now. Sounds pretty boring Huh???!!!! It’s really not that bad. The results are amazing.
Oh yeah and great news, I have finally completed this semester of school with all passing grades. Next semester will be my last and I will be graduating with my degree in Interior Design. After that I will be going back to finish my first passion which was psychology.
So now that I have quickly filled you in on my crazy life, I just want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year!!
FYI: I have lots of great things coming your way for the New Year!! It’s pretty exciting.
I am truly grateful for all the things that have happened in my life this year and wouldn’t change any of it for the world. One thing I decided to do a month early was start my New Years Resolution. So what is it you ask?………To build and conquer the world with a healthier mind and a hot and sound body.
As I grew up in high school I never had an issue with weight because I was always small ranging in size from 0 to a 1. As I graduated and moved on, my weight started to fluctuate and I started seeing numbers on the scale that I wasn’t happy about. By 2008 I was a solid 185 (which is 80 lbs more than my high school weight) and didn’t know what to do with myself. I started to fall depressed due to the fact that I hated shopping in plus stores and all of my friends got to shop in the everyday store’s with the small petitie sizes. I finally decided to take action and I lost about 30 lbs excersing on my own and running everyday. I was so proud of myself for losing the weight.
In 2010, I met the love of my life and we later got married and I fell to comfortable. I started gaining all my weight back. Okay well not all but some. I had grown to be addicted to the scale and only like to see the numbers go down. When they didn’t budge I started to feel like I was always going to be this size and nothing was ever going to change. So, I started working out again and have dropped 20lbs on my own. I hear all the time, ” You weigh how much?!!!!, you don’t even look that big.” Trust me, I love all the compliments but it’s hard to believe when you don’t see yourself in that way.
For my 2013 New Year’s resolution I have decided to work with a trainer and train for a swimsuit and figure competition. If your not quite sure how those girls look, let me show you.
Here’s on of my favorites IFBB PRO Felicia Romero. Very hot!!
So, you have to imagine that I am looking forward to seeing all the great results that are coming my way. On top of that I have great man by my side, my wonderful husband, who is also going to be training for bodybuilding. I will be keeping you guys up to date on all my progress and posting some yummy recipes. I will also post my workouts for the day for some of you fitness buffs.
Until next time………..
Mixing colors can be a great thing or a disaster when it comes to decorating your home. For me, I think it comes easy. I love color and I am a fanatic when it comes to using color in my house or someone elses. Two colors I have grown to love lately are the colors pink (my favorite color) and the color blue (my husbands favorite color). At first I thought mixing these two colors together would be awful but it turns out that it’s very pretty.
Here’s what I put together for my inspiration board.
I love all these items and I am going to use them to make a very elegant and functional livingroom. Take a look at some other pink and blue rooms I found.
These rooms are to die for. (please click on photos to go to original links)
So the next time you think about adding coolor to your space and are not sure, look for inspiration and go for it!! Until next time…
